Updated 1 July 2026

Mumbai is covered by four RTOs — Mumbai Central (MH-01) at Tardeo, Mumbai West (MH-02) at Andheri, Mumbai East (MH-03) at Wadala and Borivali (MH-47). Between them they manage the country's densest vehicle population, along with taxi and auto permit renewals, CNG conversion endorsements and fleet registrations for the city's aggregator cabs.
